About The Course
The rolling hills and sea captains' homes of historic Yarmouthport are prominent in this tour. You'll pass the Bangs Hallett house, the Edward Gorey House, the Old Yarmouth Inn, the marshes at the entrance to Barnstable Harbor, the Bilzikian farm, and many late 18th and early 19th century homes. Exactly 5 kilometers around the full loop, it's a moderately hilly course on mostly quiet roads.
Park in the Bank of America parking lot or along 6A where parking is permitted. Starting on the sidewalk, head east along Route 6A and turn left on Church Street. Bear left on to Thacher Shore Road and then bear right as Thacher Shore Road merges with Wharf Lane. Continue on Wharf Lane as it turns into Water Street. Turn right on Mill Lane which becomes Keveney Lane as you cross the bridge and enter Barnstable. At the end of Keveney Lane, turn left on Route 6A and return to your starting point.
Getting There
Take Route 6 to exit 7 and head north on Willow Street to Route 6A. Turn right on Route 6A and park in the bank parking lot or anywhere along Main Street where parking is permitted.
