All:
Wanted to remind folks that we will be starting our Adult Learn to Swim session on October 11th running until November 3rd.   If have a friend who needs to learn to swim this is the chance. 
Classes will be every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of October until November 3rd from 7:00-8:00 pm.  Instructors will be all volunteers again.  Swimmers can sign up on the Nantucket Community School website.  Same price $50.00 which is a real bargain.  We are aiming for first time swimmers but will take those who have limited swimming capability as well or need to improve their stroke.  Swimmers will be given goggles and an swim snorkel as in previous sessions.  Please spread the word.  It is a terrific event for swimmers and instructors and we look forward to teaching a whole new group of adults to swim.   
Our program remains the best value in adult swimming lessons since many off Island swimming centers charge over $300 for these same lessons.  So spread the word as only Nantucket people can do.  If you belong to any community groups or social media groups please share the link below with them. We have a number of slots still available and as is tradition in Nantucket folks sign up late.  We will limit the class size to 10.

Subject: VOLUNTEERS needed Nantucket Half Marathon!

We are 3 weeks away from the 6th Nantucket Half Marathon on Sunday, Oct 9 at 8am.

Please consider volunteering if you are not racing – this event could not happen without our amazing volunteers! We have all sorts of jobs that range from a few mins to a few hours so even if you only have a little bit of time to dedicate, we can still use your help!

If interested, please contact our master volunteer coordinator – Heather at heathergardening@gmail.com.

Most importantly, we're in need of folks to man water tables – ideally, you'll have a vehicle that could haul water jugs, a foldable table and a garbage can – this is critical job and most fun if you have a few friends or family members to join you – please let me know if you can commit to this. I will deliver all the supplies to you on Friday before the race so that you could just head out on race morning.

Also looking for some folks who would be willing to sign the course on race morning – early am job.
