April 28th 5K Run/Walk
April 28th is right around the corner and Shea’s YBA has a 5K run/walk road race at 10 AM departing from the Hyannis Village Green located behind the U.S. Post Office at 385 Main St. Hyannis. You can click here to preregister online. Youth registration (17+ under) is $10 (program participants can run for free) and adults are $15 for preregistration and $20 on the day of the event. You can also pre-register by mailing in a check along with this registration form to the billing address in red at the bottom of this section. We will be giving out event T-shirts to the 1st 100 people to sign up. Register online to ensure that you receive a Shea’s YBA 5K T-shirt! If you would like to volunteer with the 5K, the number 1 things we are looking for help with at the moment Is recruiting race participants and obtaining the following items (below). If you are interested in volunteering, but do not wish to help in this area, please send us an e-mail to get a complete list of volunteer opportunities for the Shea’s YBA 5K, as well as opportunities for the organization going forward.
Donated items we are targeting for the 5K:
– Food for afterwards
– Bottled waters
– Gift certificates for awards
– Silent auction items
– A company to sponsor the T-shirts
Shea’s YBA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit capable of receiving tax-deductible donations of money and/or items under code 170 of the IRS. Business contributions will receive a receipt stating the amount of money and/or value of the items donated to write off come tax time.

Shea’s Youth Basketball Association
Shea’s YBA provides fully funded basketball leagues available to kids from all over Cape Cod. We run programs with a strong focus on anti-bullying, tutoring, and community outreach. Shea’s YBA uses basketball as a tool to show the participants the importance of camaraderie, responsibility, teamwork, sacrifice, and respect for others.
All proceeds from the sales of Shea’s YBA products will be used to fund
this year’s league operating costs!
